We invite you to share our adventures across oceans and exploring lands and if you want a glimpse of life aboard a sailing boat I have lots of information to share as well as a Blog that you might like to follow!
Our Approach

WE ARE A FAMILY WITH 2 KIDS, WHO TOOK A RISK AND LEFT A GREAT JOB, A LOVELY LIFE IN ITALY, OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY, TO SAIL ACROSS THE WORLD AND SPEND SOME REAL TIME WITH OUR KIDS WHILE THEY STILL WANT TO BE WITH US!
Our Story
WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
That's a question we've been asked so many times and I still find it hard to answer. It's hard to convey to a non cruiser just why we chose this lifestyle. How do I explain the appeal of taking off in our sailboat to discover new places and cultures? Or loving the feeling of leaving behind the hustle and bustle of normal society? Or the extremes in weather, from calm seas to tropical storms? Or never really knowing whether our plans will eventuate (mostly, they don't!) or the absolute beauty in nature we see each day? Or seeing our kids develop insight into other cultures and peoples?
When we started this adventure I thought it was mainly about seeing new places, enjoying new cultures, foods, architecture, all whilst being with our kids every day.
I now know it's about SO much more than that. I also know that I would bore you by talking about all those reasons here, but when you follow my blog you'll begin to get the idea of what this lifestyle is all about!
Suffice to say that the reasons we are doing this are too many to mention but there a couple of key ones.
We want to show our kids some of this big, wide, wonderful world and expose them to cultures and experiences in the hope that it will teach them things that they won’t necessarily be learning at a traditional school.
We are also hoping that this lifestyle will grow their self esteem and help them develop into independent young people who care about others and the world that they live in.
We knew once kids enter ‘teenagerdom’ they would want to spend more of their time with their friends rather than with us, so we're trying to extend the time that they want to be with us.
We wanted to make the most of the few precious years we have left TOGETHER as a young family!
We know it’s a little out there and we know it’s hard for some people to understand our logic, but it’s what we’ve chosen to do for a while and so far, we are completely happy with our decision.
